I'm Jayant Potdar — a product-focused Full Stack Developer based in Pune, India. ✨ I build dependable backends, low-latency APIs, and tactile web interfaces that feel simple to use.

I study Computer Science & Engineering at Ratan Tata Maharashtra State Skills University (MSSU), Pune (Class of 2024–2028, current CGPA 8.0). My focus is building complete, working products where systems engineering meets clean user interfaces.

Over the past two years, I independently engineered AstroPixel (a deep-zoom platform rendering multi-gigapixel rasters in the browser without memory crashes using FastAPI, GDAL, and OpenSeadragon) and led student engineering teams to build Krypton (an AI literature search assistant with transparent multi-signal ranking) and NeuralNet (an interactive visual deep learning studio compiling graph JSON to executable Keras code).

Outside of code, I serve as Head of Web Development at MSSU's TechSpark technical club, where I mentor junior students in modern web engineering, run workshops, and organized the flagship Pixel Perfection Hackathon with 100+ participants.

Build the full loop

I don't enjoy working only on a sliced-off UI mockup or an isolated database script. The best engineering happens when you understand how a user gesture in React converts to an asynchronous task in FastAPI, hits a PostGIS index, and returns without UI stutter.

Sweat the micro-feel

A functional feature is just the start. Clear loading indicators, error handling that actually helps, and tactile transitions transform software into something people can trust on a bad day.

Ground AI in deterministic math

Instead of throwing fuzzy prompts at an LLM and hoping for truth, I use transparent mathematical algorithms (TF-IDF ranking, topological graph sorts, tile pyramids) to establish the ground truth before bringing in generative models for synthesis.
